Las Vegas Weather Force has issued a Thunderstorm Watch effective Wednesday, September 3, 2025, for the following zones;

Discussion: Storms in Northwestern Arizona yesterday evening hit the ‘highest risk’ areas over the Hoover Dam, which the graphic did indeed say. They lost steam as they moved into Las Vegas, but today looks different. The flow is out of the west this time. Rapid development over the Mt. Charleston zones will bring outflow eastward, which will ignite thunderstorms in the Las Vegas Metro zones this afternoon and evening.
A Thunderstorm Watch is issued at Las Vegas Weather Force when conditions are possible for thunderstorms, covering 50% of the watch zone. Alerts at Las Vegas Weather Force are private, issued ahead of time to the public by LVWF as the lead-time is extremely important to you.
